THE HARDEST BUT BEST THING

Mat 6:14  "For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.

Mat 6:15  But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

My Child,

I realize that you and many of my children struggle with forgiveness. It can be the hardest thing for a born-again believer to do even though you know you should do it. My Son Jesus, who lived as a human on earth for 33 years experienced everything that you have or can experience and through his life experience I too can be touched with your exact feelings. Betrayal from a close friend is very hurtful, disrespect from someone that you've been nothing but loving and respectful to is very hurtful. And yet, as I have indicated to you in my Word, you must forgive. It is my will and my way and anything short of that is not only disobedience, but it robs you of your blessing from Me. Remember, forgiveness is not for your offender, it is for you. It is to release you from the bondage of hurt, anger, depression, strife, and frustration that unforgiveness brings. Based on the depth of the offense, it may seem like the hardest thing, but it will be the best thing to do.

PRAYER: Father, I thank You for being all wise and better to me than I am to myself. Therefore, I will not allow hurt feelings to paralyze me, but I will act by faith and forgive my offender in my heart so that You can forgive me, bless me, and help me move forward to fulfill my great destiny, in Jesus' name. Amen!
