The world in which you now live is an extremely informational and visual one. In generations passed, people had to read books to imagine what the lifestyles of the rich and famous were like. But now, you can click on any device and see how people live lives of material luxury. Invariably, these pictures and information can cause you to compare your lives to theirs and leave you feeling wanting. The solution to this problem is thankfulness. Instead of comparing your life with the lives of others, focus on, and appreciate even the smallest things that God has blessed you with. Comparison will always produce discontentment. But thankfulness will always produce joy, and a joyful heart will always be a peaceful and powerful heart.
Prayer: Father, I thank You for every single blessing that You have bestowed upon me. Thank You for reminding me to count my blessings one by one and praise your name until the day is done, in Jesus' name. Amen
