Pro 13:20 He who walks with wise men will be wise, But the companion of fools will be destroyed.
My Child,
Don’t ever forget that you’re going to walk like those you walk with. In other words, it’s very difficult to rise above the level of your relationships. If you walk with wise people, you will be wise. If you walk with godly people, you will be godly. On the other hand, if you walk and spend time with evil people, you will invariably be evil. This is just the basic principle of sow and reap. Yes, you have many associates in your life that you cannot get rid of. People at your job, in your neighborhood, and even in your family. But you can choose your friends. You can define your fellowships. You can decide whom you will spend quality time with; whom you will give access to your heart and mind. Choose wisely because you are who you hang with. Birds of a feather flock together. If you find yourself constantly in trouble, in sadness, in hardships, in foolishness, check your fellowships, review your relationships. Anyone not adding to the godly character and quality of your life must go!
PRAYER: Father, I thank You for your wisdom that admonishes me about the relationships I keep. I will not allow the devil to have me believe that I can spend time with ungodly people and not have their spirits affect me. I will love and pray for everybody, but I will be very careful about the company that I keep, in Jesus' name. Amen!
