Jas 1:22 But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.
My Child,
It is so important for you to feed on my Word continuously. You should read and meditate on my Word daily and sit under the teaching of my Word weekly through your pastor so that when the tests of life come your way, you will have the victory. Remember, just reading and hearing the Word is NOT the victory! The victory comes in DOING the Word. It comes when you have spent the necessary time to hear it, but have applied the necessary will and determination to do it! Anything else is deception and what greater deception is there than self-deception. It's one thing for the devil to deceive you or for others to deceive you, but deceiving yourself is the worst. When you don't WALK in truth and love, it is so easy to fall prey to the deception that everything is alright and that, when tested, you will stand. Please take heed, my Child, it doesn't matter how much you read or attend church, unless you start obeying, you'll lose the battle and eventually the war!
PRAYER: Father, I thank You for this word of admonition. I decree and declare that I will not only be a hearer of the Word, but a doer thereof, thereby ensuring that I will receive your blessing and the victory, in Jesus' name. Amen!
